About Your CORE Personality

CORE PersonalitiesWelcome to Your CORE Personality. This blog was created to answer the many questions we get about personality traits and the behaviors that are personality driven.

There is a lot of misinformation out there around personality issues and my goal is to correct them. You can get answers to topics of interest to you by clicking on a blog title in the right menu bar or on the blog tab above. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, post a question.

Many of the answers here were asked by coaches who use the CORE Multidimensional Awareness Profile (CORE MAP), by their clients or by those who learn about CORE MAP on our assessment website  www.coremap.com.

CORE MAP is a very deep and accurate assessment that gets past all the old conditioning and false perceptions which keep so many people (84% of the U.S. population) unknowingly stuck behind a mask of conformity and living an unfulfilled life. When you know who you came into the world to be and what conditioning has done to suppress or enhance your authentic personality, you can take specific, laser-focused steps to get on your authentic path quickly and easily and start living the life you can only dream about from behind a mask.

Most assessments won’t get you there because they are measuring self-perception or observable behaviors and, when current self-perception and behaviors were shaped by old childhood programs, assessments that measure those things simply reflect the misperception. So, even though you answer in a way you believe is honest and the assessment accurately reflects what you report, if that isn’t your truth, what you get is really just a validation of your erroneous beliefs.

If you are not delighted with who you are, the odds are very high that your self-perception is inaccurate. When that’s the case, you can bet that you are living far below your potential. You likely feel like there is something missing from your life, but you can’t quite grasp what it is. What’s missing is your truth.

Once you know who you came into the world to be and how to best express your authentic self, your whole life opens up. You feel alive and energized and happy. You feel at home in your body. Your best self develops and, when you are living in allignment with your nature, you become amazingly effective.

Because many of the questions posted here are based on the CORE language, I have included the terms on this site for your convenience. Go to The CORE Types page to learn more.

You will see references to Commander, Organizer, Relater and Entertainer here. These terms are used in the CORE assessment because they are good one word descriptors for the four primary styles which were first identified by Hippocrates 300 years B.C.E. and which have stood the test of time. The four descriptors also form the CORE acronym.

You can learn a lot about yourself from other people’s questions in the Blog section.  So explore the posts you find here and feel free to comment or post a question.
